Soldier Dies in Accidental Firing Incident in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 02: In a tragic incident, a soldier lost his life due to accidental firing in the Rawalpora area on the outskirts of Srinagar, officials reported on Saturday.

According to sources, the soldier, a member of the army’s Road Opening Party (RoP), was fatally injured when his service rifle discharged accidentally. “He sustained critical injuries and died instantly at the scene,” an official confirmed.

Police teams have arrived at the location and are investigating the incident from all possible angles.
