SBDU review meeting held to accelerate Mission YUVA implementation in Kulgam
KULGAM, AUGUST 18 (PTK): A review meeting of the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) under Mission YUVA was held at the Meeting Hall, Kulgam, under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Altaf Ahmad Khan, to assess progress and accelerate implementation of the initiative in the district.
The meeting was attended by members of the SBDU, including Assistant Director Employment, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Lead District Manager J&K Bank, IPO DIC, Credit In-charge, Cluster Bank J&K Bank, Career Counselling Officer and Employment Officer.
Newly posted Assistant Director Employment Kulgam, Rahil Amin, presented a detailed overview of the targets, progress and achievements under Mission YUVA. Individual targets and the performance of SBDU-BHD teams were also reviewed.
The meeting examined key Mission YUVA performance indicators, including block-wise applications, BHD/SBDU verification, DLIC approvals, bank sanctions and disbursements, first-tranche releases, CGTMSE coverage, interest subvention, rejected cases, capacity building, mentorship, completion reports and market access through ONDC.
Progress under the Lakhpati Didi initiative and Udyam Jagriti 5.0 was also reviewed, with particular focus on student-oriented initiatives such as Hackathons and Neo-Innovative Applications.
The Chair stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation, panchayat-wise performance and strengthening the four key pillars of Mission YUVA—Culture, Capital, Capacity and Connectivity (4Cs).
ADDC Altaf Ahmad Khan directed the teams to intensify awareness and outreach, ensure timely verification of applications, strengthen coordination with banks and expedite pending cases. He also called for continuous handholding of aspiring entrepreneurs from application and sanction to disbursement and subsequent support.
Time-bound targets and an accelerated roadmap were set for the SBDU-BHD teams to strengthen Mission YUVA implementation and ensure that its benefits reach eligible youth and aspiring entrepreneurs across Kulgam.(PTK)
