DC Kulgam inaugurates Aadhaar Seva Kendra to streamline Aadhaar service delivery

KULGAM, AUGUST 18 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam today inaugurated a dedicated Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) near the Grid Station in Kulgam, aimed at providing residents with hassle-free, reliable and transparent Aadhaar-related services.

Established by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the new Kendra will serve as a one-stop facility for a wide range of Aadhaar services, including new enrolment, mandatory biometric updates, demographic corrections, biometric updates, Aadhaar printing and re-printing, e-Aadhaar downloads, biometric lock/unlock and authentication services.

The facility will also provide on-spot grievance redressal, enabling residents to access Aadhaar services at a single location.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Shahzad Alam said the Aadhaar Seva Kendra would ease access to essential Aadhaar services and reduce the burden on Common Service Centres and banks in the district.

He added that the facility would promote faster service delivery, greater transparency, improved accessibility and digital empowerment while supporting efficient delivery of welfare schemes.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by UIDAI Project Manager Shoaib Mohammad Khan, J&K Cluster Manager Peer Mubashir Shah, Operations Manager Kulgam Danishwar Hamid, besides other officials and concerned persons.(PTK)
