Encounter Breaks Out in Anantnag’s Halkan Area

November 2, Srinagar: A fierce encounter erupted on Saturday afternoon between terrorists and security forces in Halkan, a locality in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

A senior police official stated that the operation was launched based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. As the joint team of security personnel advanced toward the suspected hideout, they came under fire from the militants, leading to a retaliatory exchange.
