Mian Altaf Ahmad represents all parties of India alliance: NC Vice President Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, April 18: Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah expressed confidence in the candidacy of Mian Altaf Ahmad for the Anantnag-Rajouri seat. Mian Altaf filed his nomination for Ananrnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency today amidst hopeful sentiments from Abdullah and the party.

 

“Today, NC candidate for Anantnag-Rajouri seat, Mian Altaf Ahmad has filed his nomination. He will represent all parties of the India alliance. We hope that Mian Altaf will win this election,” stated Omar Abdullah during a public address, emphasizing the collective support behind Ahmad’s candidacy.

 

Acknowledging Ahmad’s commitment, Abdullah conveyed gratitude on behalf of Farooq Abdullah for the effort made by Ahmad, who traveled from Delhi to contest the election.

 

Furthermore, Omar Abdullah commented on the decision of Ghulam Nabi Azad to refrain from contesting the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. He remarked, “It is not shocking, we already knew that he would not contest elections. I think he has fielded a candidate from his party but let us see if people will support his party.”

 

Abdullah’s statements reflect the political dynamics in the region, highlighting both optimism for the upcoming elections and a pragmatic assessment of the electoral landscape.
