Youth Found with Throat Slit in Srinagar; Condition Critical

Srinagar, Oct 31: A young man with a severe throat injury was discovered near Chanapora Bypass on the outskirts of Srinagar today. Police, with the assistance of local residents, rushed him to SMHS Hospital.

The youth has been identified as Sayar Bilal, a resident of Batamaloo, Srinagar. Preliminary investigations suggest that the injuries were self-inflicted, pointing to a possible suicide attempt.

Hospital authorities confirmed that Sayar remains in the intensive care unit. “His condition is critical, and we are doing everything possible to save his life,” stated a medical source.

Police have initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident. “We are investigating the matter to understand the factors leading to this desperate act,” a police spokesperson said.
