Two unidentified militant Killed in Ongoing Shopian gunfight
Shopian, 20 Oct (PTK ) : Two unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing operation with government forces in Dragad area of South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Wednesday.
An official said that two unidentified militants has been killed in the operation. However, he said, the identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, a joint team of SOG Pattan , Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in dragad Village of Shopian following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.
Meanwhile operation is going on in the area. Meanwhile Kashmir Zone Police tweeted that ” 02 unidentified militants killed in dragad Shopian encounter ,search operation going on. ” (PTK)
