Two overnight encounters in South Kashmir, four militants killed

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:  Four militants were killed in two overnight encounters in South Kashmir’s Kulgam and Pulwama districts.

A top police official said that acting on specific information cordon and search operations were launched in Zodar area of Kulgam district and Puchhal area of Pulwama district.

He said that as search operation was intensified hiding militants fired upon forces which was retialated triggering encounters.

He added that in joint operation of police, 1 RR and CRPF, two militants belonging to LeT were killed in Zador area of Kulgam.

He said that two unidentified militants were killed in a joint operation of 55 RR, Pulwama Police and CRPF in Puchal Pulwama.

Search Operation was going on at Puchal Pulwama when last reports came in.(PTK).
