Body of elderly man fished out from Jehleum in Srinagar

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: The body of man from Srinagar who got slipped into river Jhelum on July 01, was fished out on Thursday morning.

An official said that a 50-year-old man slipped into river Jhelum near Kalashpora on July 01 after which rescue operation was started.

He said that after failing to trace his body was fished out near PC depot, Srinagar on Thursday morning by river police.

The deceased person was identified as Muhammad Ashraf Zala, son of Late Abdul Aziz of Kailashpora Srinagar.

After all medico-legal formalities, body will be handed over to family, he added.(PTK).
