Tipper driver killed in Kangan road accident

Ganderbal, June 03 (PTK) : Driver of a tipper was killed in an accident at Ganiwan area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday morning.
An official told PTK that a tipper bearing registration number 9246-JK01N traveling from Gund to Kangan turned turtle on Srinagar Leh highway near Ganiwan area resulting in critical injuries to the tipper driver.
The deceased driver has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie son of Sonawullah Ganie resident of Frawgund, he said.
He said the driver was rushed to nearby public health centre where from he was referred to Sub District Hospital Kangan. However, at the hospital doctors declared him brought dead.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was sent to his native village for last rites.
“A case has been registered under a relevant sections of law and further investigations taken up”, a police official told. (PTK)
