Rahul Gandhi to visit J&K today, will inaugurate party office tomorrow

Press Trust of Kashmir |Srinagar : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to Srinagar from today during which he will inaugurate the party’s Jammu and Kashmir headquarters and meet Congress workers, sources said.

They said Gandhi will reach Srinagar today and may attend the wedding of the son of J&K Congress chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir.

On August 10, he will inaugurate the headquarters of J&K unit of the Congress and address a meeting of parry workers and leaders in the union territory.

Sources said that Gandhi will visit to Kheer Bhawani Temple, Hazratbal Shrine, Chhati Padshahi Gurudwara, inauguration of new party office and make presence at Ghulam Ahmed Mir’s son’s wedding.

Pertinently, this will be first visit of Gandhi to J&K after abrogation of article 370.(PTK).
