Minor girl allegedly kidnapped, raped in South Kashmir

Srinagar May 18 (PTK) A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and later raped in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district following which investigation has been launched, officials said on Wednesday.

They said that while conducting routine track clearance, a team of railway police spotted a girl along two boys in a railway hut .

While investigating the matter, the girl (name withheld) lleged that she was kidnapped by two boys when she was on way to her home on Tuesday, they said.

They added that she alleged that two youth namely Danish Ahmad Rather son of Basheer Ahmad Rather and Mukhtar Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Shafi Rather allegedly kidnapped her and was raped by Danish allegedly.

They added that case in this regard has been registered and further investigations have been taken up.

They added that girl is being handed over to family after medico-legal examination and accused duo are under custody in Police station Wanpoh and further investigation is going on. (PTK)
