DC Anantnag reviews arrangements for Chhari Mubarak of SANJY-2026
ANANTNAG, AUGUST 18 (PTK): Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and Yatra Officer for the Pahalgam Axis, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, today chaired a comprehensive meeting to review arrangements for the smooth and safe passage of Chhari Mubarak of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026.
The meeting was attended by SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure, Commandant 8th JKAP, CEO Pahalgam Development Authority, Camp Directors of Nunwan Base Camp, Chandanwari, Sheshnag and Panjtarni, SDM Pahalgam, representatives of the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, detailed arrangements for Chhari Mubarak were reviewed. The sacred procession is scheduled to leave Srinagar on August 22 and reach the Holy Cave on August 28, with religious ceremonies planned at several locations along the route.
The Chhari Mubarak is expected to participate in religious ceremonies at the Shiv Temple in Bijbehara, Martand-Tirth Mattan and Gourishankar Temple at Pahalgam before proceeding towards the Holy Cave.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure adequate arrangements for food, firewood, pooja samagri, drinking water, accommodation, sanitation and other essential facilities throughout the journey.
Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat stressed the need for close coordination among all departments and directed officers to remain vigilant and ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance up to the Holy Cave.
Special orders have also been issued to designated officers for ensuring the successful and seamless conduct of the sacred journey.(PTK)
