Kahara Heavy rains :- DC, SSP takes stock of situation at site

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR Srinagar JULY 20:– Due to heavy rain and reportedly cloud burst in uphills of Kahara area of District Doda, sudden flash flood occurred in Jai and Trenkal Nallahs.

No loss of life has been reported but property damaged, however, one Private middle School Building, two shops, two water mills, one private under construction house, approach road and bridge to TRC Kahara building washed away, said an official

Moreover TRC Kahara building is also partially damaged, he said.

Meanwhile DC Doda along with SSP took stock of situation at site, no loss of life reported,

Officials said that men & Machinary has been mobilised and directions issued for immediate damage assessment and ome houses,Pvt School,TRC received damages.

They said concerned SDM and Tehsildar are camping at the site to take immediate steps for welfare of people.
