Encounter breaks out in Khrew Pampore

Press Trust of Kashmir | Pulwama :Gunfight has started between militants and security forces in Khrew area of Pampore in Awantipora of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.

Sources told the Press Trust of Kashmir  that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Krew.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

A senior police official also confirmed exchange of fire and said that two hizb militants are believed to be trapped in the area.(PTK).
