DC Poonch reviews arrangement for  Muharram

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR POONCH JULY 26: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangement for Muharram.

On the occasion representatives of the religious organisations raised various issues and sought uninterrupted supply of water and electricity, adequate Ration, traffic arrangement,  cleanliness in around the Imam Baras, Security arrangement, medical facilities,  besides other arrangements related to observance of Muharram were discussed in detail.

After threadbare discussion and patient hearing, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officer to make the necessary arrangements as projected in the meeting .

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of PHE and PDD to take measures to provide uninterrupted water and power supply during Muharram days in the district.

The Municipality authorities were asked to deploy an adequate number of civic workers for maintaining cleanliness in and around the Imam Baras for the conveniences of devotees.

The DC asked the religious representatives to ensure smooth conduct of the religious activities.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Hqr Assistant, Executive Engineers of different departments  besides all concerned officers, religious representatives and prominent citizens.
