Congress believes in love not hatred:- Rahul Gandhi

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Says J&K is under assault from Delhi, Statehood must be restored with dignity, election must be held

All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi Tuesday said that J&K is direct assault from new Delhi and the Government of India should restore full statehood to J&K and conduct the elections in a free and fair manner.

He said that he will continue his fight against Prime Minister Narender Modi and his policies of dividing country.

J&K is under direct assault from New Delhi while other parts are facing an indirect attack and we have a clear stand that statehood should be restored in full and there should be Assembly polls in a free, fair and transparent manner.

I am not allowed to speak in parliament and even journalists aren’t allowed to work freely, he said.

Congress had brought major schemes to J&K but BJP has failed to even continue them, he said while adding that he can feel the pain of people of J&K and I am with you to build a relation based on love and honour.

He said that you can win people of J&K with love and honour and not with the hatred.

Very soon I am going to visit Jammu and Ladakh as I would have visited here earlier but wasn’t allowed by the government, he said.(PTK).
