7 Crore disbursed as land Compensation at Public camp in Jatwal

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SAMBA, JULY 23: To make the process of land compensation hassle free and transparent, a special camp for disbursement of land compensation, acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, was held here at BMS Farms in Jatwal.

A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner Anuradha Gupta supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the land owners at Jatwal village acquired for DAK Expressway.

To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. name of the land owner, quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.

It was informed that 21 owners/beneficiaries were identified and verified during the camp who were later disbursed with the compensation amount directly in their bank accounts.

 “7 crore Rupees were disbursed among the 21 owners as per the nature of land acquired during the land compensation distribution camp.

The next public camp for disbursement of land compensation is scheduled for 27 July, at Udhay Farms in Birpur.
