Youth injured in bear attack in Sonamarg

GANDERBAL (PTK): In a distressing incident, a 26-year-old youth was gravely injured in a sudden encounter with a wild bear in the picturesque Sonamarg region of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday evening.

The injured individual has been identified as Rameez Ahmad Sheikh (26), son of Mhod Sultan Sheikh, a resident of Chandoosa, Baramulla.

Confirming the unfortunate occurrence, an official stated that immediate medical attention was provided to the injured victim at a nearby hospital. However, due to the severity of the injuries, he was subsequently transferred to the Srinagar Hospital for advanced treatment.
