Workshop Cum awareness programme on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan organised at Poonch
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR POONCH, AUGUST 12: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Inder Jeet presided over a one day workshop cum awareness programme on Drug demand reduction under Nasha Muqt Bharat Abhiyan.
The workshop was organised by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with District Administration at DC office conference hall to make participants aware about substance abuse and ways to get rid of this menace and its total eradication from society, particularly from district Poonch.

Other Officers and Dignitaries who participated in the event included, Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar; CEO PDA, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer; Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shafiq Mir; CAO, Rakesh Sharma; District Social Welfare Officer, Adil Shabir; TSWO, Azam Rather besides other officers. A pledge Ceremony was also held to mark the event across the Educational Institutions of the District. Around 73400 students and 5300 Head masters, masters, teachers of 1707 government and private Educational institutions participated in the pledge taking ceremony.
The participants pledged to make district Poonch free from drugs with the active support of District Administration, police and civil society.
