Woman ends life by consuming poisonous substance in Anantnag Village

Anantnag:(PTK) A woman from south Kashmir’s Anantnag village on Tuesday committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her home.

Reports reaching to Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) said that a woman (name withheld) of Bijbehara village consumes some poisonous substance this afternoon at her home.

She was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment where doctors declared her brought dead. It was not immediately clear why she toom this extreme step.

Meanwhile, a police official said that after conducting post-mortem of the body at GMC Anantnag and completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family for last rites.

Further reports said that police has taken cognizance of the case and initiated an inquiry.(PTK)
