Withdrawal of security from certain people and killing of political workers cannot be interlinked: Guv Malik
SRINAGAR, MAY 06 (PTK): Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik today said that withdrawal of security from certain people and the killing of political workers in Kashmir valley cannot be interlinked.
He said that certain quarters are spreading rumors that the killings take place due to the security withdrawal. Governor said, “We saw smooth conduct of Sarpanch elections in the state. So militants now start targeted killings in the Valley”.
Speaking to reporter Malik said that, “I would like to appeal to all political parties to join hands with us so that we can together reach out to the people and make them understand that voting is their ultimate weapon”.
He further added that neither gun and nor strike… Let us ask them to make taking part in electoral process a habit to make changes. “We will sit within few days and discuss the withdrawal of security. Also, Chief Secretary will see if security withdrawal played any part in these killings or not,” said Governor.
However Governor appealing political parties to reach out to electorate and make them understand the power of their votes, Jammu and Kashmir. (PTK)
