Winter Approaches as Monsoon Fades in Jammu and Kashmir

As the monsoon season draws to a close in Jammu and Kashmir, the region is gearing up for the arrival of winter. With just a month left before the cold sets in, meteorologists predict a significant drop in night temperatures starting from August 21st.

Currently, there is no indication of any major rainfall for the remainder of the month. However, the region recently experienced bouts of heavy rain, particularly in some parts of Central Kashmir, which saw intense downpours in the morning hours over the past few days.

As the monsoon season retreats, the people of Jammu and Kashmir brace for the onset of winter, with cooler nights expected to become the norm soon.
