Two JeM militants killed in Pulwama encounter

Press Trust of Kashmir| Srinagar :- Two militants including Majid Nazir were killed in gunfight in Tujan area of Pulwama district, police said on Tuesday.

A police official said that a joint team of Police, Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Tujan area following specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

As the forces intensified the searches, militant hiding in the area opened fire, leading to a gunfight, he said.

He added that two militants including Majid Nazir were killed who according to police was involved in killing of SI Farooq Mir of Samboora.
