Two hybrid militants arrested in Sopore

 

Srinagar June 10 (PTK)  Police on Friday claimed to have arrested two hybrid militants in Sopore area of Baramulla.

An official said that a joint naka was established by pc sopore along with 52 RR at gurseer in the jurisdiction of police station Tarzoo. During checking, a suspicious movement of two persons coming from Darpora delina towards seer was noted and were subsequently asked to stop, but they tried to flee from the spot, however were tactfully apprehended by the security forces.

He said that upon their personal search 02 pistols, 02 magazines and 05 pistol rounds were recovered from their possession.

During preliminary Questioning, they revealed their identify as Faizan Ahmad Paul son of Fayaz Ahmad Paul resident of Pinjoora shopian and Muzamil Rashid Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir resident of Arihal Pulwama, he said.

Preliminary investigations have revealed the arrested persons as hybrid militants of proscribed organization LET/TRF and were in a constant search of an opportunity to carry out attacks on security forces and civilians including outside labourers, he said.

Accordingly FIR has been Registered at Police station Tarzoo under relevant sections of law, he added. (PTK)
