Two Al-Badr militants killed in Pulwama encounter

Pulwama April 28 (PTK) Two militants affiliated with Al-Badr were killed in a gunfight in Mitrigam village of Murran hamlet in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Thursday.

A police official said acting on specific information generated by Police regarding presence of militants in village Mitrigam a joint cordon and search operation was launched by Police and RR in the said area.

“As the search party proceeded towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired indiscriminately upon the search party which was retaliated leading to an encounter,” he said, adding that “in the ensuing encounter, two militants affiliated with Al-badr were killed.

Officials said that 65 militants including 17 non locals have been killed this year so far. (PTK)
