Thrombolysis done at SDH Kupwara for ischemic stroke.

Srinagar January, 20 ( PTK) The Sub district hospital Kupwara on Friday achieved acclaim by successfully carrying out the thrombolysis on a patient with a stroke at the health institution.

Thrombolysis, also known as thrombolytic therapy, is a treatment procedure used to dissolve dangerous clots in the blood, particularly in the case of stroke victims.

An official said that Today at 1.30 pm patient who was known hypertensive came to sdh kupwara casualty with weakness right side body, under the guidance of HOD MEDICINE DR SHEIKH IQBAL.

He said that patient was immediately taken for CT scan brain where Radiologist Dr Wasif confirmed Lacunar infarcts.

He said that patient was then shifted urgently to ER ROOM sdh kupwara and SAVE BRAIN INITIATIVE GROUP Neurologists were consulted and THROMBOLYSIS was done by DR SYED Dr Ayjaz, Dr Zia ul Islam, Dr Sahil surani , Dr Ashraf and Paramedical staff of ER ( Nisar shb, Showket shb, Bilal ahmad and Saqib) under guidance of Dr Sheikh IQBAL Shb and overall supervision of MS SDH Kupwara Ab Gani Dar.
