Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: Dew Ink Foundation a literary forum which has been formed with the aim of promoting Shina language Organised its first event today in a shina Mushaira in the memory of Late Mohammad Ramzan Khan a social activist and linguist from Gurez valley at the Dak Bunglow Dawar which was sponsored by the International Human Rights Council. The president of the IHRC Dr. Saleem Jaffar attended the event. Abdul Jabar Chackt, a retired Administrator and a Shina writer was the chief guest of the event. The event started with Welcome speech by Muzammil A Khan.
The programme was in two parts and was hosted by Suhail Shayen. In the first part, Late Mohmmad Ramzan Khan’s biography was recounted. Started by Muzammil A Khan and followed by Bashir Teru and Afreen Ashraf, Irfan Ramzan & Nighat. In the second part of the programme many Shina poets Amaan Waafiq, Altaf Ishrat, Zahoor Zulfi, Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Altaf Khayali, Mudasir Ahmad and Ghulam Mustafa read out their poetry. The programme ended with a vote of thanks to all those who had come and made the event a success.(PTK).
