Sheikh Imran writes to PM Modi, requests him to intervene in farm laws in progressive ways
Srinagar Jan, 28 (PTK) Former SMC Mayor and councillor Sheikh Mohammed Imran on Thursday wrote to PM Modi and asked him to intervene in farm laws in a very progressive, peaceful and prosperous way
“I am writing to you with a concern for our farmers and their families which in-turn is my concern for our capital, our country, our economy and our selflessness which is what we have keenly learnt and observed in you and your leadership abilities and qualities”, reads the letter
I am sure that your good self must be more concerned than anyone else in the country as your contribution towards farmers is beyond imagination whether pre/post or in COVID, it further adds.
I feel that you understand the pain of farmers as farmers have always been victims in the past due to the change in government policies, ignorant corrupt leaders and undoubtedly most of the farmers in our country believe in your able and dynamic leadership and have more hopes on you than they have ever had in anyone else for their development, it adds
We all know that farmers satisfy our daily nutritional needs by toiling their blood and sweat by working tirelessly at farms, eating dry loaves of bread, carrying the produce on their heads and shoulders on daily basis, it adds.
I am a common citizen of India and appeal to one of the most powerful leaders of the world- Hon’ble Shri Narender Modi Ji to prioritise the farmer policy and strengthen these hard-working farmers across all the sections by creating opportunities for them and fulfilling their basic needs in a dignified way so they can prioritise our day to day nutritional needs without keeping in their minds the certainty or uncertainty of calamity for the produce, it further adds.
Farmers all along their lives have lived in fear and threat to their products due to weather, calamity, epidemic, disaster etc or they are always worried due to the perishable nature or property of their products which can destroy them and their produce, it adds.
I am sure that there is some confusion by the farmers which need to be sorted and cleared and everyone has a role to play in it as we can’t believe that the most powerful, selfless leader in the world can be made a part of this unrest. We firmly believe that your vision and dream is a peaceful, progressive and prosperous farmer, it further adds.
I know the opposition is only playing politics on the blood of our farmers which can be deceitful and not at all a healthy opposition for the development of farmers because if they were sincere they would have submitted a white paper pinpointing the mistakes in farm laws and solution for the same. We must admit that we can’t fall prey to intentional corrupt opposition and others who want to make it a riot for their greed of politics rather than to show magnanimity to support peaceful, progressive, prosperous farmer and their welfare, it adds.
