Shehri-Jan Abhiyan Programme under MTMP 2.0 commences in Kishtwar
Day one witnesses Array of Awareness activities
DDC interacts with residents, launches Plantation Drive
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 28: District Administration Kishtwar, in collaboration with Local Urban Bodies (ULB), launched a series of awareness activities here in Municipal area under the Shehri-Jan Abhiyan Programme – a prelude to My Town My Pride phase II.
The My Town My Pride programme is scheduled to be held on 5 and 6 December 2022 and the weeklong preparatory phase- even as Shehri Jan Abhiyan would be observed from November 28 to December 4 across the ULBs.
On the first day, various departments erected stalls for the display of various welfare schemes pertaining to their departments here in the premises of Dak Banglow for the residents of Ward 1,9 &10.

During the programme the main focus was on youth engagement, promotion of skill up-gradation and self-employment schemes, good governance, digital and financial literacy and Nasha Mukt and Rozgar Yukt J&K.
President Municipal Council Kishtwar, Sajjad Ahmed Najjar, CAHO Dr Sanjay Sen; DSWO Zubair Ahmed, Counselors of Wards, Bankers, District officers, Locals participated in the programme.
The day witnessed on spot registration services by CSC counters besides awareness about welfare and self employment generation schemes under Mission Youth J&K.
District Development Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav also participated in the Jan Abhiyan programme and launched a Plantation Drive in Dak Bunglow under JK Green Drive.
Meanwhile, Students of Government Degree College carried out cleanliness drives at Shaheedi Park, College Campus and its adjoining areas. They also sensitized the locals and passers-by about the Swachhata Abhiyan & Nasha Mukht Abhiyan.
