Security Forces Engaged in Mandli Encounter, Head Constable Killed

Jammu : A fierce encounter is ongoing in the Mandli area of Jammu, where security forces are engaged in an operation against suspected terrorists. According to ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain, the operation was initiated after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of 3-4 terrorists, believed to be foreign nationals.

“Yesterday, we received information about the presence of terrorists in the area. An operation was launched with the security forces. Unfortunately, Head Constable Bashir Ahmed lost his life in the exchange of fire, while two other personnel have been injured, though their condition is stable,” ADGP Jain said.

Search operations are still underway, and security measures have been strengthened, particularly in light of the upcoming third phase of the local elections. Further details will be revealed as the operation progresses.
