Seasons first major Snowfall expected over Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir are gearing up for the season’s inaugural snowfall, expected to grace the region from February 17th to the 21st. Forecasts from Aadil Maqbool, an independent weather forecaster, indicate that the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, including renowned destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam, are likely to experience heavy to very heavy snowfall during this period.
Areas such as Doodpathri, Sinthan Pass, Peer ki Gali, Zojila Pass, and Razdan Pass are also on alert for substantial snow accumulation. In addition to the snowfall, the plains of Kashmir are forecasted to receive moderate to heavy rain, coupled with a few inches of snow.
