S.K Police Academy Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 29 (PTK): A three-day training program on "Gender Sensitization for Police Personnel," sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW) New Delhi, has commenced at S.K. Police Academy Udhampur. Twenty-two Police officers/officials of Jammu and Kashmir are actively participating in this crucial initiative.
Sh. Rakesh Sambyal, Chief Prosecuting Officer on the directions of worthy Director SKPA Udhampur has formally inaugurated the course.
In his opening address, Sh. Rakesh Sambyal, extended a warm welcome to all the participants on behalf of the Director SKPA. He emphasized that addressing gender inequality is the focal point of the course, shedding light on the reasons behind women feeling insecure.
The training program is meticulously crafted in ensuring justice and maintaining public trust require a nuance understanding of both Gender
sensitivity and forensic science and aims to equip the participants with the essential knowledge and skills to handle gender related cases with empathy and professionalism while utilizing forensic tools effectively to strengthen investigations.
The coordination of the course is led by Sh. Chander Mohan, Inspector, with assistance from HC Ram Paul. This initiative underscores the commitment to enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement in promoting gender sensitivity and addressing issues related to women's safety and security.(PTK)
