Pulwama (Tral): Rafiq Ahmad Naik, son of the late Ali Mohammad Naik, a former Member of Parliament, declared his decision to enter politics after retiring on June 30, 2024.

In a press conference held at his residence in Tral, Naik pledged to uphold his father’s legacy of promoting communal harmony among Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs.

He disclosed ongoing discussions with supporters of his late father about his political future and hinted at potential collaboration with leaders from the PDP.

While remaining undecided about his party affiliation, Naik emphasized his commitment to continuing the values championed by his father throughout his political career.
