Police Seizes Illegal Properties Worth Rs. 60 Lacs from Notorious Drug Peddlers in Baramulla

 

SRINAGAR (PTK) : The police in Baramulla have confiscated properties, including a single-storied residential house and a double-storied shopping complex with two separate washrooms, valued at approximately Rs. 60.00 lacs. These properties belong to Mohd Ayoob Shah and Ghulam Mohammad Shah, also known as Gulshah, both sons of Abdul Khaliq and residents of Ladoora Rafiabad, District Baramulla.

 

According to officials, this action was carried out under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985 and is associated with case FIR No. 18/2024 under sections 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Baramulla.

 

Reports from the news agency Press Trust of Kashmir indicate that these properties were identified as unlawfully acquired during the course of police investigation/enquiry. It was found that the properties were acquired through illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the drug peddlers.

 

This operation underscores the unwavering commitment of the police to combat the drug menace plaguing society. The local residents of the area have commended the initiative taken by the police in this regard.
