Police recovers Heroin worth crores in Uri Baramulla
Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar November 20: Police alongwith Army recovered 04 packets of Heroin worth crores at Hathlanga Uri area of District Baramulla.
Police alongwith Army (3 Rajput Unit) during routine joint naka checking at AD Post intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee away from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. During search, 04 packets of Heroin like substance worth crores were recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Afzal Bhat resident of Sahoora Uri. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 121/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
