Police foils protest of Civil Society Forum against implementation of new land laws, Arrests It’s leaders.

Srinigar Nov 02 (PTK):Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JK CSF) on Monday held a protest demonstration against the announcement of new land laws for Jammu & Kashmir by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)

President JK CSF Qayoom Wanin said that protest is against the attempts to “change” demography of Jammu and Kashmir.

“All the leaders voiced their deep anguish and resentment against the attempts to change demography of Jammu & Kashmir in the backdrop of the announcement of new land laws” he said adding adding that JK CSF would continue struggle against new land laws and attempts to change demography of Jammu & Kashmir.

They demanded that order must be revoked at an earliest, otherwise we will come on roads.

Later protest was foiled by police and several leaders of the organization were detained.

Leaders who were part of the protest include JKCSF Chairman and former President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Abdul Qayoom Wani, Farooq Ahmad Trali,Nusrat Ahmad Beigh, Haji Farooq Ahmad lone, Mohd Akbar Mir and others. (PTK)
