Police arrests drug peddler in Lolab

Press Trust of Kashmir | SRINAGAR :Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and have recovered a huge narcotics consignment besides unauthorised cash’ in Diver Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A police official said that on receipt of specific input, a team headed by DySP Lolab and SHO Lalpora Mushtaq Ahmad apprehended a person at Kakkadpatti in Diver Lolab.

“During the searches, the police team recovered 12-kilograms of Charas-like substance and an unauthorised amount of 5.64 lac from the possession of the person, he said .

Accused has been identified as Mohammad Shafi Gojri, and a case under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against the accused and further investigations have been taken up.
