Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on Cabinet colleagues to mark the Ayodhya Ram temple consecration on January 22 with a festive spirit reminiscent of Diwali. Sources reveal that the Prime Minister urged officials to illuminate their homes with diyas and extend the celebration by feeding the less fortunate.

These instructions were imparted during the Union Cabinet meeting, coinciding with heightened religious fervor leading up to the ceremony, which Prime Minister Modi himself is set to attend. Cabinet ministers have additionally been encouraged to visit the temple alongside devotees from their respective states post the event.

As Hindutva organizations mobilize citizens nationwide in preparation for the consecration, the BJP-led NDA anticipates that the ceremony’s success will bolster the temple’s popularity, potentially influencing the Lok Sabha elections expected in April-May.

In a proactive move, the BJP has already organized its members across the country to facilitate people’s pilgrimage to Ayodhya and their accommodation in the holy town following the ceremony. The convergence of these efforts underscores the significance of the upcoming event and its potential political ramifications.
