It is simple basically unlock doesn’t mean, we have won the war but it means we have now health care preparations and we are aware how to keep this virus at bay
Unlock means we will live with the virus by following protocol because virus is lethal but kashmiri people took it otherwise and they think we have won the fight against virus and are taking the virus non serious with the result cases have shown surge and deaths have also increased.
Most people have now bilateral pneumonia and are occupying beds in hospital and same situation continues all beds will be occupied and there will be no space available to treat more patient which will lead to a disaster
Even at the time of admission, each patient should be diagnosed for any hidden undiagnosed condition,” he says.
There was a propaganda on social media that virus is a conspiracy, that is reason that locals took it non seriously, he said, adding that if people wont come to the equation, they are inviting disaster, trouble and strict curfew.
Physical distancing and wearing a mask are essential to prevent getting infected, he said adding that illiterate people are following precautions and SOPs strictly than literate ones.
Responsibility lies on doctor, teachers, educated people, religious preachers and media to educate the people and make them understand the need of following precautions in letter and spirit.
Ist we have to change behavior of people and after that we can fight with virus, he said adding that we must break the chain of rumours and untill and unless people wont change their behavior, we are heading towards a disaster.
If you are feeling breathless and you ignore it, then you can end up reaching the hospital too late for anybody to help you, he said, adding that Covid-19 cannot be generalised as this disease behaves different way in different patients.(PTK)
