Off-duty cop killed, another injured in Bijbehera road accident

Press Trust of Kashmir | Bijbehera:- A Jammu and Kashmir personnel was killed and another injured in a road accident at Bijbehera area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Thursday morning, officials said.

An official said that two off-duty cops on way to home were injured after an accident took place between their motorcycle and load carrier at Zirpora area of Bijbehera.

Both the injured personnel were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them succumbed to his injuries, the official said.

He identified the deceased as Tariq Ahmad Ahanger from Verinag while the injured has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Ahanger from Nowpora Dooru. “Both were police personnel of IR 23 Battalion and were on way to home”, he said.:-PTK.
