MLA Devsar Inaugurates Naib Tehsil Office at Nowbugh Kund, Lays Foundation Stone for Library
Kulgam, June 8 (PTK): MLA Devsar Peerzada Feroze Ahmad on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed Naib Tehsil Office at Nowbugh Kund in Kulgam district, marking a significant step towards strengthening administrative services in the area.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam, district officers and a large number of local residents.
On the occasion, the MLA also laid the foundation stone for a public library to be established under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The proposed facility aims to promote reading habits and educational development by providing students and youth with a dedicated space for learning and academic activities.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA emphasized the importance of improving educational infrastructure and ensuring better public services at the grassroots level.
Later, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner and senior officials, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad visited Waltengoo Ziyarat Sharif to review the progress of ongoing developmental works being carried out at the revered shrine.
During the inspection, he directed the executing agencies to ensure the timely completion of all projects and stressed the need to maintain quality standards while undertaking developmental works at the religious site.
The MLA also visited the Berigam water canal near the Migrant Colony in Chowgam to assess the irrigation water shortage affecting local farmers.
Residents informed him about the difficulties being faced due to inadequate irrigation facilities and the impact on agricultural activities in the area.
Taking note of the concerns, the MLA assured the farmers that the issue would be addressed on priority. He directed the concerned departments to take immediate measures for restoring irrigation water supply and ensuring adequate support to the farming community.
Reiterating his commitment to public welfare and development, the MLA said that strengthening infrastructure, improving public services and addressing the concerns of farmers remain among the top priorities for the constituency.(PTK)
