Nazim Zai Khan visits Government institutions; Inaugurates Rural Haat at Surinder
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 3: Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Nazim Zai Khan, on day second of his visit to far- off Surinder Panchayat in Arin Block as visiting officer visited Government institution’s like Health center, AWCs, Playfields and assessed developmental needs of the area.
He was accompanied by BDO Arin, Shariq Iqbal and other concerned officers.
He inaugurated Rural Haat at Surinder Panchayat and met the beneficiaries of PMAY and SBM units.
Earlier, he visited Amrit Sarovar sites in the area and took feedback from the public regarding the measures being taken up for preservation of water bodies.

He also inaugurated various sports activities like musical chair and cricket.
Nazim Zai interacted with the officers, PRIs, public and frontline workers on a variety of public issues and sought feedback from them on various developmental parameters of the Panchayat.
Later, he distributed sports kits among the students.
One out standing feature of his visit was the demonstration of Gandhi Katha by the students at Surinder aimed at to promote the Gandhi Philosophy of development. The Katha focused on the local culture, traditional livelihood and local income generation of assets of the area.
