Multi discipline IZDL Tournament for U-19 Boys begins in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, JULY 18 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwar, in coordination with its subordinate Zonal Offices, on Monday organised a series of sports competitions in different disciplines for U 19 boys.
The competitions were held in Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis & Badminton were held to complete the different levels of the sports activities as per the annual calendar to select the best probable players to represent the District at the advanced stages of sports competitions.
The Tournament was inaugurated by the District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kharati Lal Sharma as the chief guest of the event. The Tournament was organized under the supervision of Physical Education Master PEM Ram Saroop Bhandari.
While interacting with the participants, the District Youth services & Sports Officer advised the participants to prove their mettle in the game and sports of their choice.
He further stated that sports bring people together and help in developing problem solving skills.
The matches were held strictly in accordance to the rules and regulations by the officials and the results were announced by the conveners. The Zone Kishtwar Shined in all the events.
Rationalisation of Polling Stations: DEO Kishtwar holds interaction with representatives of Political Parties
KISHTWAR, JULY 18PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: To discuss the rationalization of polling stations/booths post Delimitation in all the three constituencies of district Kishtwar, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashok Sharma who is also the District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar today convened a meeting with representatives of political parties, here at mini-secretariat.
At the outset the DEO gave an insight about the set norms of establishment and re-allocation of Polling stations/Booths.
The DEO asked the political parties to go through the proposed draft of polling stations, which was provided to them and record comments, objections, rectification and suggestions if any, in prescribed time frame.”The polling stations will be created on rational basis keeping in view the convenience of the voters with provision of all essential facilities” the DC assured. He added that any new proposal that falls within the norms of Election Commission of India (ECI) will be considered and approved.
The representatives of political parties also handed over their objection/suggestion lists to DEO Kishtwar for consideration.
Political Parties were also asked to rope in the Booth Level Agents, ground level workers and other stakeholders while rationalising the Polling stations and asked them to submit their proposals and lists of objections, if any through concerned AEROs upto 20 July 2022.
Among others present during the meeting were, ADDC, Sham Lal, ACR/Dy DEO, Varunjeet Singh Charak; Officials of District Election Cell, the DYSSO besides other concerned.
