Monga pays tributes to Indira Gandhi on her 37th death anniversary

Srinagar, October 31: A meeting under Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and former MLC G N Monga was held in Baramulla on Sunday, where rich tributes were paid to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 37th death anniversary.

Senior leaders of the JKPCC from Baramulla district had assembled to pay tributes to Indiraji. While addressing the participants, Monga hailed internal as well as external policies of Indiraji and said the country achieved milestones in different fields under her dynamic leadership.

“It was Indiraji who brought the tallest leader of J&K Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah to the negotiation table in 1975. Indiraji had a special bond with Kashmir like her father Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehruji. Her sacrifice, determination and grit to take the nation ahead will always remain in our collective memories,” he said.(PTK).
