Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day ) 

Director Agriculture celebrated National Unity day at Saffron fields of Pampore

Press Trust of Kashmir | Pampore : To celebrate the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) Director Agri Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today visited Pampore and adjacent areas. He participated in the Saffron harvesting operations.

Speaking on the occasion Director Agriculture said that to celebrate this day departmental teams are visiting the farmers in all the districts of the valley. He said that this day gives us an opportunity to work together for a better and prosperous future.

While speaking about the saffron sector Chowdhary Iqbal said that we are experiencing a good yield this year so far as the saffron is concerned and department is working on a long term plan so that this sector could touch new heights in the years to come. He further said that the Department is providing a comprehensive, multi dimensional marketing models, branding, stigma separation, quality control, packing in Saffron trading at India International Kashmir Saffron Trading Centre (IIKSTC)Dusoo.

Director Agriculture asked the officers and officials of the department to renew their commitment on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas for the progress and prosperity of farming community. He ensured the farmers of every essential support and cooperation from the department.(PTK).
