Labour Deptt kick-starts 2 days e-Shram enrollment drive at Kulgam

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KULGAM, AUGUST 03: To set  momentum in the registration/ enrolment process of unorganised workers on e-Shram portal, the Labour Department Kulgam today kick-started enrolment drive across the district.

On the first day of the drive, scores of unorganised workers were registered on the e-Shram portal.

It is pertinent to mention that e-Shram portal is a comprehensive National Database of unorganized workers and was launched on 26 August 2021 to register estimated 38 crore unorganised workers across the country.

Assistant Labour Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Adnan Tariq said that  a 2-day enrolment drive was today started to accelerate the pace of registration of unorganized workers in the district to register maximum beneficiaries on e-Shram portal.

He added that so-far we have registered near about 1.54 lac unregistered workers on e-Shram portal and a two days intensive registration drive has been kick started during which door to door registration will be carried out to cover left out workers of the district.
