Kishtwar Admin flags off first fleet of Highland migratory Tribal families
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 30: District Administration Kishtwar, headed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav on Thursday dispatched the first batch of Highland migratory Tribal families to their destinations in plain areas amid elaborate arrangements.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal flagged off the first fleet of vehicles comprising 5 trucks and 1 passenger/LGV vehicles here from Warda, Hasti Morh Kishtwar towards Udhampur, carrying 273 livestock Including bovine animals and goats besides Highland Migratory tribal families.

ARTO, Romesh Smotra, Dy. SP Ashish Gupta, DSHO, Manager RTC, XEN Mechanical Division, besides other officials were present on the occasion.
A joint team of veterinarians from Animal & Sheep Husbandry department, transport department and other agencies have been constituted to ensure the encumbrance free movement of these families along with their livestock.
The transportation facility is being provided to the nomads free of cost from 25 September to 25 October 2022.
Traffic police teams have been deployed to coordinate pick-up and movement of trucks, besides help-desks, veterinary healthcare and other arrangements have been ensured for the convenience and free Movement of these families, informed ADDC.
