Speaking to the media, the minister stated that no final decision has been made yet regarding the declaration of summer vacations for schools.
“The department is keeping a close watch on the temperature. Any decision regarding summer vacations will be taken based on weather conditions and in the interest of students’ health and well-being,” she said.
The minister further emphasized that student safety is the top priority, and the government is in regular consultation with meteorological officials to assess the situation. She also mentioned that interim measures, such as changes in school timings and reduction of outdoor activities during peak heat hours, have already been implemented in many areas to protect students from the heatwave.
