J&K Bank ATM Guards Stage protest against salary cut in Srinagar
JAMMU, NOV10 (PTK): The ATM security guards of Jammu and Kashmir bank staged a protest in press enclave Srinagar against salary cut.
According to press trust of Kashmir (PTK) Scores of ATM Security guards assembled at press enclave Srinagar raised slogans in favour of their demands while alleging that they are facing grave injustice at the hands of the new company.
The protestors said that a new company has overtaken the security of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank, we are working as security guards for the last more than 10 years and all of a sudden, they are either firing most of the guards or are being told to face salary cuts.
Another protester said that Hundreds of private security guards here are braving all the odds to continue their vigil, during challenges posed by Covid pandemic especially at vulnerable spots government imposing restrictions on the number of customers that can be permitted at a time, security personnel have to manage the rush by requesting people to form queues outside the entry door.
“Some customers lose their patience and vent their anger on us,baring all odds we are working round the clock”.
Meanwhile the protesters said that we will not relent till the government takes back the decision without further delay. (PTK).
